Hi, I’m Elle. A Freelance Service/UX Designer, User Researcher and Accessibility advocate.
10 years of experience in start-ups & design agencies, and started freelancing since 2019.
Being a Generalist
I believe creativity and innovation are grounded in the ability to connect the dots. The more dots I am exposed to in my career, the more connections I can make.
Being exposed to working in early Starts ups and small agencies, I became ‘the solo design department’, which involved wearing many hats from Service Designer, to User researcher, to UI design on projects. I have never been fixated on job titles.
As design professionals progress in their careers, we are bound to obtain new skills and experience which broaden our expertises.
Key strength
My strength is seeing the bigger picture on projects, helping with discovery projects, road maps and creating value propositions for new MVPs. Saving companies millions of pounds through my research findings and steering projects to solve the right problem.
Returning to work
I have taken time off for health reasons, and currently studying Web Accessibility and Inclusive Design, having experience first hand experience of using poor experience from health care to transport.
In my spare time
You can find me trying to collect parts to build vintage bikes, cycling or attempting to do Dunwich Dynamo in the night. I also enjoy ballet, pilates reformer, entering my Jack Russell to dog shows, trying to figuring out how to use Unity for 3D/AR/VR.
